Bellahøj Church goes jazz: A Tribute to the Improvised Life

As a natural extension of Bellahøj Church's prominent rhythmic music profile, the church opens its doors for a very special edition of the "Bellahøj Service." During the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026 this summer, the church's pastor and musicians invite you to a "Jazz Service" – a worship service where words and notes melt together into a warm and sensory total experience.
Creative, improvised, and unpredictable life is in focus as the church's musical team—pianist Merete Ørting Lahey, saxophonist Emil Hess, and guitarist Rasmus Oppenhagen Krogh—together with Pastor Peter Møller Jensen, create a space where the tones of jazz meet church traditions.
