This dynamic trio is a unique new addition to the Danish jazz scene.
For several years, Pernille Bévort and Bjørn Heebøll have performed together in the septet Radio Bévort, and now they can be heard together in this new trio with bassist and cellist Nils Bosse Davidsen.
In Bévort/Bosse/Heebøll, the three musicians will explore and experiment with both their own compositions and selected “standards.” Melodic and textural sound dialogues will emerge between the cello, saxophone, and Bjørn’s always lively, sonic, and creative drumming. The music will be reimagined and reinterpreted - with an even greater focus on the improvised elements and the dialogue of the moment.
Three powerful voices from the Danish jazz scene will invite the audience on an exciting musical journey - with creative presence, warmth, energy, and poetry.

Here is a small selection of recent reviews of Pernille Bévort - her latest trio album ‘A Cup of Joe’ (with another trio: Bévort 3):
“Above all, Pernille is a superb saxophonist....with a distinctive tone all her own, and a brilliant composer of pieces that are every bit as good as the most famous standards.... It sounds austere, at times raw, but incredibly intriguing”.
– Marek Romanski, Monthly Audio-Video, Poland, May 2026
”For fans of jazz trio music, A Cup of Joe is essential listening. It demonstrates that the classic saxophone trio format, pioneered by Sonny Rollins and refined by Henderson and others, remains vital and relevant in capable hands. Bévort 3 proves that you can honor tradition while pushing forward, that you can be both deeply rooted and freely innovative”. - Frankie Pfeiffer Editor in chief – PARIS-MOVE, Feb. 2026:

“...and it’s only the very best who manage to hold the listener’s interest throughout 50 minutes of trio jazz featuring nothing but tenor sax, double bass, and drums”.
