One of Brazil's greatest musical personalities, Egberto Gismonti, meets one of Denmark's leading saxophonists and composers, Lars Møller, together with the big band The Orchestra in the project Mysteries of Amazonas.

The music in the project has been composed and arranged in a musical dialogue between Møller and Gismonti, and it will unite elements of European compositional music with the musical and cultural contributions of the broad-based immigrant crowd that has come to Brazil throughout the ages, and which has created the country's outstanding and refreshing music culture.

Egberto Gismonti was born in Brazil in 1947. He has studied both guitar and classical piano, and he developed an interest in composing from an early age.
