This spring ILK and Norwegian organisation BlowOut will continue to present an ambitious series of concerts, in both Copenhagen and Oslo, collaborating with artist from all over Scandinavia. The series is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund's PULS pool.
At this evenings unique first-time meeting, Danish reedman Lars Greve, danish/Argentinian guitarist and composer and Norwegian percussionist par excellence Ingar Zach are being led by Portuguese ,swedish resident, trumpeter Susana Santos Silva.
Santos Silva is a trumpeter, improviser and composer from Porto, Portugal.
In the last years she has been considered by the international press as one of the strongest emerging voices in contemporary jazz and improvised music. She leads her projects Impermanence and Life and Other Transient Storms (with Lotte Anker, Sten Sandell, Jon Fält and Torbjörn Zetterberg), and co-leads duos with Zetterberg (also in trio with Hampus Lindwall), Kaja Draksler, Hearth and Child of Illusion. She is also part of Mats Gustafsson’s Nu Ensemble, Fire! Orchestra, LAMA, Per-Åke Holmlander’s Carliot Orchestra, Torbjörn Zetterberg Och Den Stora Frågan and Coreto.

Komponist og skaber af en række kunst- og kulturprojekter. Solistuddannet fra Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium, og modtager af en række priser for sit alsidige og virtuose udtryk. Han har blandt andet spillet solokoncert på Sao Paulos første skyskaber, nytårskoncert i Nuuk samt i Hong Kong, Beijing, New York og Rio med bandet Girls in Airports. Desuden medvirker han på over 100 udgivelser med prominente kunstnere fra hele verden og har desuden udgivet to bemærkelsesværdige solo-ugivelser "Breidablik" og "Dødedans".

Danish-Argentinian guitarist Mark Solborg (b. 1972) is educated at The Rhythmic Conservatory of Copenhagen and New School University (US) and has, since 2000, been active on the European scene as either leader or co-leader of the groups Solborg 4+4+1, Revolver, Solborg/Eilertsen/Bruun aka Mark Solborg Trio, Herb Robertson/Mark Solborg Duo, ON DOG, Solborg/Banke Duo, the spatial surround project Omdrejninger feat. Axel Dörner a.o., work for solo guitar and more. The versatile improviser and composer cherishes a personal and idiomatic approach to the guitar and has to date produced and released 19 albums with his original music. His work as composer and guitarist has been Grammy-nominated, Reumert-award- ed, awarded by the Danish Arts Foundation and has recieved significant international recognition. In recent years Mark has toured all over the world, and performed and recorded with the legendary Evan Parker, Herb Robertson, Chris Speed, Ingar Zach, Marilyn Mazur, Axel Dörner, Paul Lovens, Thomas Lehn, Yasuhiro Yoshigaki and many others. www.solborg.dk
Norwegian percussionist Ingar Zach (f. 1971) has, within the last 20 years, made heavey imprints on the Scandinavian scene. Not only as a musician. He has worked with such impressive artists as Håkon Kornstad, Derek Bailey, Kim Myhr, Jon Balke, Jim Denley and many others. In 2000 he establihed the label Sofa, releasing improvisational music, with guitarist Ivar Grydeland His original approach to the Gran Cassa (orchestral bassdrum) and performances all over the world places him as a unique conveyor of sound and contemporary music. Zach holds a Masters Degree in Improvisation and lives in Madrid.
