Saint John's Church is often called 'Nørrebro's cathedral'. This is not only because it is the largest church in the district, but also because it was the first church to be built outside Copenhagen's ramparts in 1861.
The interior of the church consists of large bright columns and sky blue vaults with stars.


The church is located central Noerrebro next to Sankt Hans Torv and hosts a wide range of cultural events and concerts.
