Unfolk is a piano-drums duo from Latvia. It consists of two musicians and friends Jēkabs Rēders and Sebastians Macats. The beginnings of the constellation occured back home in Latvia as a drum duet but now they are both studying in Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Copenhagen where the meeting of the two musical beings has gained a new form and purpose.

Both musicians are equally interested in different kinds of musical expressions like nordic minimalism, baltic romanticism, indie pop and a pinch of avant-garde.

The aim of the music is to use improvisation as a tool to look for an inner path towards a space of acceptance and honesty where you do not have to worry about materialistic values of life.
