Saxophonist Bertram Kvist and pianist Giordano Léon Makholm met on stage years ago performing pop tunes. Now jazz conservatory students, they keep the same lighthearted approach to music. Resulting in contrasting set of groove-fueled improvisations and originals, notably arrangements from Bertram’s recent release “A Search For Distress”. With a warm tendency to round out a set with the standard jazz repertoire sound.
