Mechanical pieces of music that creates an etherical, harmonical universe.
After releasing the album "Zeme, Lubos Soukup decided to start a whole new jazz quartet with focus on creating a unique musical universe - Machina Mundi.

The name originates from the astronomist Johannes de Sacrobosco, who had the idea that the universe functions as a machine, like a clockwork, and is divided into two parts: the elementary and the ethearical.

Machina Mundis music is based on this philosophy and gives compositions sections of mechanical quality.
The music draws inspiration from the legendary band Weather Report, and has in parts, by use of synthizers, keyboards and different effects, a similar character to it's sound.
