The music is a wild, juicy, humming and bubbling cauldron of contemporary jazz that draws inspiration from both the African-American music tradition and our own Nordic sound world.
The charismatic percussionist Benita Haastrup has received many awards for her lively and colorful drumming, including the Ben Webster Award. She has played everything from swing to avant-garde and has released 4 critically acclaimed albums under her own name.
