Five musicians, born in different parts of the world, sharing a homebase in Copenhagen. Here, they coexist as Arcanepunk, playing mysterious and mesmerising jazz punk. Entangled with strong influences of spiritual jazz, lo-fi, trip-hop, their music conveys the spirit of punk and carries a distinctive ethereal sound of the band. Their upcoming album Insubordinate Entities consists of music, written based on short stories which portray supernatural animals, creatures and other entities which are fighting for their right to survive, taking back forests, battling ignorance and greed. The singable melodies and lively rhythms of Arcanepunk music become a soundtrack of these characters and embody their stories. The music that Arcanepunk play takes the listener through a journey in which there is space for both existential reflections and places of comfort.
