Bushbabies (DK)

Bushbabies are out with their second album Huma Bird. The record is a journey across continents, drawing inspiration from Persian funk, Brazilian folklore, African cowbells, and the Tibetan mountains – all in pursuit of the mythical Huma Bird, said to bring eternal happiness to anyone touched by its shadow.
The music is grounded, precise, and vibrant – both insistent and inviting. With playful ease and deadly seriousness, Bushbabies craft rhythms and sounds that are at once down-to-earth and assured, yet bursting with energy and groove.
Blending elements of afrobeat, cumbia, and highlife with melodies rooted in their Nordic background, Bushbabies weave echoes of folk songs, hymns, and ballads that shimmer just beneath the surface.
