At this exclusive concert, two of Denmark’s leading tenor saxophonists come together to pay tribute to some of jazz’s greatest tenor giants, accompanied by a lively and swinging rhythm section.

The tenor saxophone is one of jazz’s most prominent instruments, and throughout history, the greatest players have come together to challenge and inspire each other musically.

Many of these encounters have fortunately been recorded, allowing future generations to hear – and feel – the atmosphere of these masterful meetings; for example, the legendary “tenor battles” between Ben Webster & Don Byas, Sonny Stitt & Gene Ammons, and John Coltrane & Sonny Rollins.
