The trio Scandinavian Skies unites Nordic lyricism and American roots in a personal and atmospheric expression, where the boundaries between country, Americana and jazz naturally flow together. The music moves between open spaces and heartfelt poetry – a meeting between Texas and the Nordic tone.
Based in Copenhagen and Austin Texas and with roots branching out in Europe, Asia and the USA, the trio has performed on a wide spectrum of concert stages and festivals worldwide. Scandinavian Skies is living proof of how three strong musical personalities can create a common language across continents and genres.

- En af Skandinaviens mest anerkendte guitarister, kendt for sit melodiske overskud, sin energi og sit særkende i grænselandet mellem jazz og rock. Han har turneret internationalt og samarbejdet med kunstnere som Ray Brown, Jim Hall og Adam Nussbaum.
- Richard Huntley – trommer
- Amerikansk trommeslager med base i Austin Texas. Huntley har markeret sig på den internationale jazz- og world music-scene og arbejdet med navne som Marc Johnson, Billy Drewes og Leni Stern. Hans spil forener groove, dynamik og farve i et globalt musikalsk perspektiv.
- Emil Hess – saxofon
- Dansk saxofonist, komponist og kapelmester, kendt for sin varme tone og sit stærke melodiske udtryk. Hess har udgivet en række anmelderroste albums og optrådt med prominente navne på den europæiske, amerikanske og japanske jazzscene. Har spillet med bla. Mulgrew Miller, Lars Jansson, Thomas Clausen mfl. Hans musik trækker på både nordiske klangbilleder og amerikansk improvisationstradition.
