Rosa Salamon with Jacob Fischer & Francesco Calí (DK/IT)
La Fontaine celebrates Valentine’s Day with an evening of intimate and beautifully crafted love songs. At the center is Rosa Salamon, a young vocalist and double bassist who recently returned to Denmark after several years abroad. Her expressive voice and lyrical bass playing create an atmosphere of warmth and emotional depth.
She is joined by two long-time musical partners: guitarist Jacob Fischer and Sicilian accordion virtuoso Francesco Calí. With more than 15 years of close collaboration, their blend of guitar and accordion is both charming and deeply musical – a sound world inspired by Mediterranean colors and heard on their acclaimed 2011 album “Django.”
Drummer Andreas Svendsen completes the quartet with his refined touch and dynamic presence, making him one of the most in-demand drummers in Denmark today.
The repertoire naturally includes timeless love classics such as “My Funny Valentine” and Morricone’s “Love Theme...
