Alto saxophone profile Jens Søndergaard has played American West Coast cool jazz for more than four decades. Søndergaard draws inspiration from Art Pepper, Zoot Sims and Lee Konitz and combines it in a unique way with a lyrical, Nordic tone.

At this concert you can experience his personal interpretations of a special selection of songs from cool jazz in the 50s and 60s USA - strongly accompanied by the trio Flying High.
The concert offers music rarely played live today. You can expect an experience with lots of joy in playing, humor and poetry.

With alto sax, guitar, double bass and drums, the orchestra's soundscape embraces both open sounds and tight rhythmic passages. You will hear musical gems, and there will be stories about the music and the artists along the way.
