Tone of Voice Orchestra
Tone of Voice Orchestra is a band that refuses to fit into any single genre – and that is precisely what makes them irresistible. From Tokyo to Texas, from Oslo to Melbourne, they have been met with a wave of enthusiasm for their self-titled debut album, released in March 2022. Critics have described it as completely original, fascinating, terrific, exciting – and for good reason.
The orchestra consists of 10 musicians – five women and five men – spanning generations, genres, and geographies across the Scandinavian music landscape. It is a fusion of experience and innovation, tradition and transformation, deeply rooted in the Nordic, yet with eyes turned toward the world.
Behind the music are songwriter and vocalist Trinelise Væring and jazz saxophonist and composer Fredrik Lundin – two prominent figures in Danish music, who here have created a musical collective that draws threads to Eastern European vocal traditions, North African grooves, Ame...
