Fini:
Fini Broadbery is commonly known as a jazz pianist, but fewer people know that he began his musical career as a singer in the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir. He brings these two forms of expression together in this concert, where he appears as both pianist and vocalist.
The combination of Fini’s soft and pure vocal tone with his at times raw and uncompromising piano style makes the music vibrant and almost effortlessly playful. Joining him in the ensemble are some remarkable young musicians who—despite their age—have already made their mark on the Danish jazz scene.
This formidable ensemble interprets both well-known and lesser-known songs from the American songbook. The musicians’ deep love for jazz tradition and history shines through clearly in their playing, while the music remains neither solemn nor nostalgic. The trio insists on a serious expression, free of clichés and offering a personal take on these otherwise familiar songs.<...

Johanna:
The Danish/Swedish musician Johanna Linnea Jakobsson is a saxophonist, singer, and composer, and she is currently releasing her new album Don’t Overthink It, which came out on October 31, 2025. The album has received widespread praise from reviewers. Among others, Ivan Rod writes in GAFFA that “...her vocal control and sense of songwriting and composition make her a unique phenomenon in Danish/Swedish music,” and awards the album 5 out of 6 stars. Erik Jensen writes in All That magazine that her songs are presented “...extremely stylishly and convincingly” – and again, the album receives 5 out of 6 stars.
Throughout much of 2025, singles such as Work and Time have alternated in A-rotation on Denmark’s Radio P8 Jazz. The same station also named Don’t Overthink It “album of the week” shortly after its release. The single Time even received a prestigious nomination at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2025 in the category “Single of the Year.”
The concert will of course feature material from the new album, as well as from her equally acclaimed debut album Alone Together from 2022.
The repertoire will likely also include classics from various genres, which Johanna often interprets together with her band.
“Her musicality is impeccable, but what impresses me most is the consistently delicate, laid-back sound and the ability to create music that feels both contemporary and like a loving nod to jazz tradition.” – Dan Backman, Orkesterjournalen (SE)...
