Odense Jazz Orchestra invites audiences to a unique musical experience with music composed by the internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Makiko Hirabayashi.
Makiko Hirabayashi and Odense Jazz Orchestra have previously recorded and performed together, but this time the audience will also experience percussionist and drummer Satoshi Takeishi on stage.
Satoshi Takeishi moves effortlessly between jazz, world music, and experimental electronic music. Since the 1990s, he has been based in New York, where he has recorded and performed with, among others, Ray Barretto, Marc Johnson, Eddie Gomez, and Randy Brecker.
It will be a rare encounter between two outstanding Japanese musical forces and Odense Jazz Orchestra.
