Håkon Guttormsen Trio

Håkon Guttormsen is an eminent Norwegian trumpet player who has been living in Denmark for the last 10 years. Since graduating from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen he has played several of the major jazz venues in Scandinavia and established himself as a sought-after collaborator across many genres.


As an artist Håkon is about as diverse as they get. He toggles between being an active participant in the Danish avant garde scene for free improvised music and the more roots oriented swing dance milieu, all the while studying a masters of classical composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

In this he takes his cue from Louis Armstrong when he said "There ain't but two things in music: good and bad”. For this concert he hopes to deliver nothing but the “good” and in that spirit he has teamed up with the magnificent German drummer Jan Kadereit, and fantastic Swedish bass player William ...
