Berre, Zabric, and Buchner present a new trio at this year's Summer Jazz. The three Copenhagen-based musicians combine their different expressions into an energetic flow of freely improvised music. Håkon's playing is characterized by inventive drumming, using a rich palette of sounds from a wide diversity of trash and objects, and sometimes incorporating real-time electronics into his playing. Luka Zabric is a Slovenian alto saxophone player, using his instrument with a high focus on details and sensitive listening, including a rich catalogue of extended techniques and sounds. Sarah Buchner is an experimental vocalist; she draws inspiration from the textural world of electronic music and ASMR, working with distorted sounds, breath, and saliva, as well as experimenting with different velum movements to create glitching and flicking sounds.
