Champian Fulton Quartet (US)

“Champian is the most gifted pure jazz singer of her generation," wrote jazz critic Mark Stryker about the critically acclaimed pianist and singer, who has stormed onto the international jazz scene since she performed at the age of 10 at jazz legend and family friend Clark Terry's 75th birthday party.
Champian Fulton is the daughter of jazz trumpeter Stephen Fulton, and from a young age was exposed to the traditional, swinging American jazz treasure. Among her great sources of inspiration are musicians such as Bud Powell, Red Garland and Errol Garner as well as vocalists Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington. Fulton masters both art forms to perfection, and with respect for tradition in mind, she always has her own, unique twist on interpretations of classic jazz standards.
Over the past 20 years, she has released 18 albums as a leader, toured around the world and played with legends such as Nicholas Payton, Buster Williams, Jimmy Cobb and Louis Hayes.
