Pianist and composer Jacob Anderskov presents a new trio format featuring two strong musical voices from different generations and parts of the world: young Danish alto saxophonist Asger Uttrup Nissen and the outstanding American drummer Gerald Cleaver.
The music balances between the poetic and the abstract. It is improvisational in its sensitivity, yet shaped by a strong harmonic identity. A set of brand-new works by Anderskov forms the basis for a refreshing, yet empathetic and deeply attentive musical experience.
