Funky Soul and Jazzy Harmonies on the Way to a New Album
Niels HP hits Drop Inn in the heart of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, bringing with him a
collection of fresh new songs and a band ready to raise the roof. In June, the quartet will enter the studio to record HP's third solo album, and this evening offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes: raw, lively, and always evolving.
The music builds upon the foundation laid by his previous albums, but the melodies are more prominent, and the harmonies take on a distinct jazz flavor. Yet, the groove remains
unchanged: vibrant, playful, and deeply rooted in soul.
