Gaarden & Gaden proudly presents a trio of international calibre. Vibraphonist Jorge Rossy, one of Europe’s most prominent jazz musicians, visits Gaarden & Gaden joined by Cornelia Nilsson on drums and Klaus Nørgaard on double bass.
Born in Barcelona, Jorge Rossy has played a central role on both the European and American jazz scenes since the 1990s. He rose to international fame as the drummer in Brad Mehldau’s groundbreaking trio and has since performed with legends such as Wayne Shorter, Lee Konitz, Charlie Haden, and Carla Bley. A true multi-instrumentalist, Rossy has in recent years devoted himself to the vibraphone, where his melodic finesse and rhythmic drive create a uniquely poetic sound.

Cornelia Nilsson is one of the strongest new voices on the Nordic jazz scene. Known for her distinctive drumming – both precise and expressive – she has rapidly become one of Copenhagen’s most in-demand drummers. Nilsson is equally fluent in classic jazz idioms and more open, exploratory forms, combining technical command with deep sensitivity. Her debut album as a bandleader, Where Do You Go?, was released in 2023, and the following year she received Denmark’s most prestigious jazz award, the Ben Webster Prize.
Klaus Nørgaard is a versatile bassist based in Copenhagen. He has played with, among others, RJ Miller, George Garzone, and Aaron Parks. His solid groove and lyrical sensibility make him a sought-after collaborator. Nørgaard is also an accomplished composer with several self-led projects to his name and has developed a long-standing musical partnership with Rossy across various groups.
The trio will perform a repertoire of original compositions.
