Snorre Kirk European Quartet

Drummer and composer Snorre Kirk leads an ensemble of strong, distinctive soloists with character and charisma. The repertoire is refreshingly original, with joy, presence, and – above all – swing at the very heart of the music.
The quartet features Italian-American alto saxophonist and clarinetist Giacomo Smith, who has been based in London for several years and has emerged as one of the key figures on the British jazz scene. From the same creative environment in the British capital comes pianist Joe Webb – a virtuoso with a deep sense of jazz history, widely regarded as one of the UK’s most promising rising stars on the piano.
On double bass is Danish bassist Anders Fjeldsted, whose solid and dynamic playing rounds out the quartet.
