Jazz Five is one of Denmark’s top live bands within blues, soul, and jazz. They always deliver performances full of energy, joy of playing, and a deep love for the roots of music. Despite the name, Jazz Five primarily plays old-school R’n’B, blues, and funk, drawing inspiration from 1960s New Orleans.

The band lovingly reinterprets both well-known and lesser-known songs by artists like Dr. John, James Booker, and Fats Domino, and spices things up with original tracks inspired by their musical heroes.

Jazz Five was founded in 1996 and has since played thousands of concerts across Denmark and around the world. The band has received two Danish Music Awards and released a wide range of albums, most recently the EP “In The Meantime…” in 2022.
