Jason Shooster (guitar), Laurits Høgel (piano), and Tomas Raae (double bass) form a Copenhagen-based jazz trio. Their debut album, A Little Human!, was released in March 2025 and captures the spirit of jazz manouche and swing – drawing inspiration from Eastern European folk music and Nordic cool. The music is deeply rooted in tradition, yet carries a fresh and timeless sound.

The trio consists of established musicians from the Danish jazz scene and has performed with names such as Jacob Fischer, Thomas Fryland, Fessor, Bob Rockwell, and Kira Martini. With a playful approach to gypsy jazz’s string swing and a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation, they create a vibrant and intimate musical universe – a tribute to Django Reinhardt’s legacy, but with a sound that is uniquely their own.
