Saxophonist Jens Søndergaard has cultivated jazz from the American West Coast for over 40 years, an inspiration he lends with his very own lyrical, Nordic tone. With him on stage is the trio Flying High - a trio that masters dynamic and elegant swinging accompaniment and offers fine solo counterplay to the saxophone.

What to expect? You will hear musical gems centered around the West Coast Jazz style - from creators such as Dave Brubeck, Lee Konitz, Shelley Manne and Paul Desmond.

As a prelude to the concert, you can hear a short artist talk at 6:30 PM with Jens Søndergaard about his career and about Copenhagen as the jazz capital on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Danish Jazz.
