Jakob Dinesen one of Denmark's most sought-after saxophonists, is a master of balance – rooted in the jazz , tradition, but still evolving. His recordings has featured world class stars like Paul Motian,Kurt Rosenwinkel,Jeff Tain Watts, Nasheet Waits,Eddie Gomez and many African and Cuban masters. His playing exudes both depth and modernity, his tone is rich in references and yet completely personal.
He has won “best jazz-album of the year” 4 times in
1997, 2003, 2014 and 2025.
