A tightly knit trio, led by Nikolaj Hess’s virtuoso piano playing, joins forces with Cæcilie Balling Strings to present arrangements of Hess’s original compositions, experiments with string quartet music from the classical repertoire, and forays into the works of jazz composers such as Duke Ellington—all brought together in a melting pot of jazz, Nordic, folk, and classical music.
