Quest Master:
FANTASY SYNTHESIZER MUSIC from Australia burst onto the underground 'dungeon synth' scene in 2017 with the release of "Lost Songs of Distant Realms," a two-volume nostalgic soundtrack evocative of a lost 90s RPG. This debut work was crafted using the classic digital tones of Yamaha and Casio keyboards, capturing the essence of an era defined by pixelated adventures and chiptune melodies.
Following this impressive introduction, QUEST MASTER continued to enchant listeners with "The Twelve Castles" (2020) and "The Twelve Temples" (2021). These albums maintained the nostalgic 90s keyboard tones, while incorporating a refined focus on FM Syn...

These albums maintained the nostalgic 90s keyboard tones, while incorporating a refined focus on FM Synthesis. The compositions in these releases drew heavily from the soundtracks of early N64 and PSX games, channeling the epic, exploratory spirit of those classic consoles.
In 2023, QUEST MASTER unveiled a new chapter in its discography with "Sword & Circuitry." This album marked a significant departure from the RPG and classic video game-inspired dungeon synth that characterized Lord Gordith's earlier work. Unlike the previous records, "Sword & Circuitry" is a gloriously lush and immensely ethereal affair, diving deep into the rich sounds of 80s synthesizer music. The songs on this album possess a magick that grips listeners with soaring synthesizers and captivating melodies, offering an immersive and otherworldly auditory experience. With this release, FANTASY SYNTHESIZER MUSIC continues to evolve, expanding the boundaries of dungeon synth and exploring new sonic landscapes.

+ Special Guest: Taagebue
Enchanting atmospheric Dungeon Synth from Denmark. Long spiraling compositions unfold with soaring melodies and an ethereal sound. A steady rhythm ensures an energetic expression, which keeps a determined flow towards ambitious conclusions. The project presents itself with references to an esoteric Danish folklore, but adding to it with poetic flair.
‘Soltaagens Skikkelser’ is the competent debut full length of Taagebue, which received a good amount of praise following its digital publication in autumn of 2021. Later in 2022 ‘Soltaagens Skikkelser’ received a Pro-Tape release by the renowned Danish Dungeon Synth label Gondolin Records.
Taagebue had its live-debut at Lasher Fest ’24 in the defunct cold-war Submarine ‘Springeren’ in Aalborg.
Taagebue is the solo project of Garðarsson, who is also in the prolific Black Metal projects Ildskær and Í Myrkri.
