Arild Andersen / Rob Luft / Daniel Sommer
The world-famous Norwegian bass legend Arild Anderrsen turns 80 next year but plays better and more sensitively than ever.
Now he comes to Copenhagen for just one evening together with two fantastic playmates, Danish Daniel Sommer on drums, who is known from Orgelduo and the Karmen Rõivassepp Quartet, as well as the top British guitarist Rob Luft.
""It's heavenly"", wrote JazzNyt:
""These musicians are temperamentally on the same wavelength and meet in a collective expression that emerges from the North Sea. The Norwegian/Danish/British jazz expression drinks from the same melodic source. When they play, they take it easy, caressing the notes, the sounds and the beats. There is a lot of space in the music, where Arild Andersen's majestic bass sound is surrounded by Daniel Sommer's gentle and empathetic drumming and Rob Luft's exuberant and pleasant guitar playing. It is heavenly.”"
