The tenor saxophonist Eric Stengaard is educated in the 80s Musicology in Aarhus, as well as at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. At Berklee he studied jazz saxophone with George Garzone and saxophone technique with Joseph Viola. In the 90s he played with everything and everyone in Aarhus within the genres: Jazz, Big Band, Soul and Blues. To be mentioned: Finn Odderskov Festival Band, Klüvers Big Band, Helle Møller Quintet, Veronica Mortensen, Peder Pedersen's Big Band and Booze Brothers. Today he lives, and makes his leaflets, in the Copenhagen area. Here he has, among other things, a. featured in Monday Night Big Band v. N. J. Steen m. p. a. Jesper Thilo, Die Herren (U2 copy) and Aspøck Swingsters. Eric is involved in recordings with Niels Balle, Annette Bjergfeldt and Tonni Frandsen. Eric has a great fondness for the American jazz standards, - both older and newer.
