NORDIC JAZZ TRIBUTE WITH A SPECIAL GUEST
Here is a unique opportunity to hear jazz singer, Cathrine Legardh, and her Nordic trio with pianist Jacob Christoffersen and bassist Jesper Thorn. On this day, they can be experienced together with a very special guest, namely the violinist and harmonica player, Alexander Kraglund. The orchestra has carefully put together a very atmospheric and varied music program - especially for the Swedish Church in CPH, where they pay a tribute to some of Sweden's (as well as Legardh's) great musical heroes - here we can especially mention Olle Adolphson and Monica Zetterlund, but there will also be music by, for example, Evert Taube, Cornelis Wreswiijk and Georg Riedel. Legardh has toured Scandinavia with great success - to full houses at, among others, the City Theatre in Stockholm and the Lilla Teatern in Helsinki. www.legardh.dk

'In Swedish-sounding and with a sensuously warm vocal, she makes the songs her own while paying tribute to her Swedish role model. She is true to the poetry and the humor and the drama and the tradition, but also personal, trustworthy.’ **** IVAN ROD

PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN:
'In sounding, perfectly formed Swedish and with a vocal that fits'Legardh sings with style, authority and credibility. And it is a great art to annex the Monica Zetterlund classic »Sakta vi går genom stan« and then just make it his own.' *****BERLINGSKE, Kjeld Frandsen
'She performed the most beautiful number after number. In between the songs, Legardh talked about Monica Zetterlund and her life. Most impressive was probably the deep calm that prevailed in the main square. If you could have measured the pulse among the listeners, it would have been disturbingly low. It was total listening and enjoyment.’ ÅRHUS JAZZ FEST, J. Gade
‘In sounding Swedish with perfect form and with a vocal that suited this particular style perfectly, Legardh interpreted in the best way and true to the original works some of Monica Zetterlund’s best songs accompanied by the three excellent musicians. A sweeping concert ended with a standing ovation.’ DAGBLADET STEVNS, T. Ebbesen
‘The cheers would never end when Cathrine Legardh & Co were thanked by the audience at a sold-out Victoriateatern’ Pierre.Falzon
