Enjoy an evening of extraordinary Inuit indie and magical polar folk.
Her first concert was for Queen Margrethe of Denmark. She has played Roskilde Festival. And she has played opposite Colin Farrell in the movie The New World. Songwriter, musician, singer and actress – Nive Nielsen is an Inuk woman of many talents, and we are happy that she will visit Union during the Vinterjazz festival along with her band The Deer Children.

Nive has developed her own genre of Greenlandic indie Americana folk. The instrumentation at the live concerts is ukulele-guitar, saw, drums, keys, bass, acoustic guitar, horns, possibly cello, melodica and glockenspiel.

Nive Nielsen released her debut album 'Nive Sings!' in 2012. The album was produced by John Parish, who is known for his many collaborations with PJ Harvey. In 2016, Nive's second album 'Feet first' was released. An album that was recorded in Greenland, Belgium, England and five different states in the USA....
