Since her entry into the Danish music scene, the Copenhagen-based Norwegian drummer, singer, and rapper Siv Øyunn, aka Øyunn, has captivated audiences with her unique sound, featuring dynamic grooves, expressive vocals, and personal lyrics on themes such as relationships, hope, inner unrest, belonging, and identity. In November 2023, she released her debut concept album Aspects on the Danish label Midnight Confessions. The album was recorded live at the Munch Museum in Oslo and was originally conceived as a multidisciplinary work combining film, performance, and concert elements. GAFFA called the album a tour de force, awarded it five stars, and compared it to an early work by Björk. Øyunn has since been honored with Tivoli's Jazz Award as the Breakthrough of the Year and won the category New Jazz Artist of the Year 2024 at the Danish Music Awards.
