Nicklas Jensen is a guitarist and composer based in Aarhus. He completed his music studies at the conservatory this summer and is launching his career with his debut release, Patient Bloom.
On Patient Bloom, the soft Nordic tone merges with open, experimental compositions supported by strong melodic themes. The album moves through a sonic landscape that feels both familiar and exploratory – guided by curiosity, discovery, and a powerful expression, while maintaining a traditional sense of improvisation and interplay.
Nicklas Jensen’s quartet features Thor Johansen, Hans Kristian Knold, and Thomas Fryland. Thor, Hans Kristian, and Nicklas have often performed together as a trio, developing a strong musical direction and a unique interplay. With Thomas Fryland on trumpet, the group gains an extra dimension, and together they create a captivating soundscape.
