Blå Vesper: Blåly
Brorson’s Blue Vespers welcomes the trio Blaaly for a wondrous evening of mesmeric Nordic sounds.
Blue Vespers at Brorson’s Church offers a moment of attentiveness in the city’s busy winter darkness: here, reflective jazz is interwoven with readings and reflections, creating a soundscape with room for calm and presence.
Entry is free, and Brorson’s will be serving cold G&Ts.
Blåly debuted in 2024 with the album Nystalgi, which – through subtle references to classical music and folk music – explores an expanded horizon for jazz within a Nordic context. The album was named “Album of the Week” on P8 Jazz and received 5 stars in Gaffa. The trio will release its second album with April Records in fall 2026.
Blue Vespers is an alternative evening service, and the name refers to the traditional evening prayer at sunset.
