Chroma Efti
CHROMA EFTI explores the space between composition and improvisation – and if their music were to be distilled into a single term from the band’s own perspective, it would be: “Primal Jazz.”
The sound of old hollow wood with gut strings, dry clarinets, piercing flutes, rumbling drums, and roaring saxophones; music that can both thunder and gently caress in the same gesture. The quintet—two saxophonists, two drummers, and a bassist—often divides into shifting duos and trios, yet always reunites around the ensemble sound: the sound of the group as one.
CHROMA EFTI can be heard during Vinterjazz with new material in tow, also featured on their debut album to be released in the summer of 2026. On this night, they perform two sets of original music at Metronomen in the heart of Frederiksberg. Doors open at 19:00, and the concert begins at 20:00.
