Brazilian Crosswinds
Brazilian Crosswinds – a movement and exchange between worlds, just as winds cross oceans and continents. It refers to the music blowing in from Brazil and meeting Nordic tones, creating a sense of something airy, elegant, jazzy, bossa-like, and acoustic. We play Brazilian instrumental music (MIB), also known as Brazilian jazz, including samba, choro, baião, and samba-canção, featuring compositions by Hermeto Pascoal, Tom Jobim, David Feldman, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Arismar do Espírito Santo, Moacir Santos, as well as our own original pieces.
