girls choir is a new Ensemble led by German singer and composer Sarah Buchner
presenting percussive, intimate and surprising vocal music. The performance combines a
highly amplified web of gentle and machine-like mouth sounds with a group of bizarre string
marionettes crafted from toys and action figures. The puppets operated by the singers
themselves come alive through sound and light. Indulging in humor and elements of
child-like play, the show enters a lucid daydream, slowly questioning our imagination of body,
beauty and intimacy.
