With enthusiasm and a twinkle in her eye, Anna sings all her favorite songs from the four albums. It is music and poetry, where the soul is given space and priority. The albums have all received excellent reviews in Politiken, All that Jazz and Berlingske. Anna has collaborated with and performed concerts with big bands, string quartets, choirs and symphony orchestras. In 2021, the latest album Barndomsträd was released, which has received many accolades, has been nominated for a DMA award as best vocal jazz album in 2022, and is recorded with the string quartet Who Killed Bambi. The trio has been in the studio in 2024 and recorded new material, which will be released in the fall of 2025. The concert will also offer a glimpse of the new material.
Edith Södergran's life was short (1892–1923) and intense, but she is still considered one of the most important poets of Swedish modernism. Her works have been translated into more than 40 languages. In 2021, a new translation of her entire production in Danish was published, and in 2024, a further translation by Ursula Andkjær Olesen was published, which received six out of six stars in both Politiken and Informationen. Edith Södergran died at only 31 years old, and Anna describes her poetry as: “Timeless and bursting with power. Her poems could just as well have been written today.” Between the songs, Anna talks about Södergran's short life and work.
