The award-winning and sought-after pianist and composer Rasmus Sørensen brings a team of superstars to CPHJF25'
He spent several years living in New York, where he studied at the Manhattan School of Music while performing at the city’s most renowned venues. Since then, the young and talented musician’s career has progressed rapidly. He has been repeatedly praised and is now a recognized name on the vibrant international jazz scene. He has also appeared in numerous concerts with the DR Big Band. In 2022, Sørensen released his debut album, Traits.
This fall, Rasmus Sørensen released his latest work, At The Right Time. The original, captivating, and swinging compositions offer a fresh and updated take on how Jazz can sound. Energetic, playful, and expressive—but also delicate and sensitive in the quiet ballads.
Joining him are three of the most prominent figures on the Scandinavian jazz scene: Felix Moseholm plays with international stars such as Brad Mehldau (US) and Samara Joy (US), Oilly Wallace leads a highly acclaimed solo project, is a part of Tabloid and plays with artists like Andreas Odbjerg and Emma Sehested Høeg, and Cornelia Nilsson is an award-winning drummer and one of the most in-demand musicians in Scandinavia....
