Handel reinterpreted in the hands of the fabulous Japanese/Danish pianist and composer Makiko Hirabayashi.
New album "Gifts" released in January 2025 can be heard live throughout the year, at concerts in Denmark and abroad.
Makiko Hirabayashi was invited by Women In Jazz and the Handel Festspiele in Handel's birthplace Halle in 2013 and 2023 to compose and perform her own music inspired by Handel.
Hear her here with the ensemble Weavers, winners of the Jazz Release of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Jazz in 2021.
