SVIN is one of Denmark’s most uncompromising and experimental rock bands. Since their debut
Heimat (2011), they have consistently pushed the boundaries of instrumental music. With a
sound that fuses noise rock, drone, avant-garde, folklore, and ceremonial music, SVIN creates
deeply atmospheric worlds where the raw power of nature meets the inner landscapes of the
human experience.
The band has cemented its place on the international scene with performances at festivals such
as Roskilde Festival, Eurosonic, and by:Larm, along with extensive tours across Europe, Russia,
and the Balkans. As part of the Young Artistic Elite (2019–2022), SVIN has not only produced
new music but also experimented with cross-aesthetic collaborations—among them a
commissioned composition for Aarhus Sinfonietta, premiered at Aarhus Festuge and later
released as the album Elegi (2022).

SVIN has also explored performative collaborations, notably in the dance production Monster,
created with three dancers and performed at Den Fynske Opera in 2023. That same year, the
band’s seventh album, Introducing SVIN, was named Experimental Album of the Year at the
Danish Music Awards Jazz.
In 2024, SVIN continued their artistic journey with a new project in collaboration with Bisse.
Under the new name BISSESVINET, they released the critically acclaimed album Blodager,
where SVIN’s distinctive sound merges with Bisse’s poetic universe.
