Horatiu Roman

Horațiu Roman is an improviser and songwriter, on piano/vocals/etc. He crafts stories on the fly, mixing ridiculous and profound topics, like the meaning of life. The music aims to make you smile and think, journey to whimsical harmonious lands, and take yourself both seriously and not at all so. Based in Copenhagen since 2012, originally from Cluj, Romania.
This concert presents music from Horatiu's upcoming album, Sad Songs for No Tomorrow. A series of hopeful songs about despairing in a world thrown into chaos - extremism, misinformation, etc. Tonight we'll try to make sense of the sadness and the madness through a playful, joyful exploration of musicality, nonsense, introspection, and experimentation.
