About the musicians:
Alfred Ocansey is a jazz pianist who, at a young age, has already made a name for
himself as an exciting new figure on the Danish jazz scene. He won “Young Jazz
Talent of the Year 2025” on Funen and appeared on TV2’s music program Piano,
where he performed his own compositions and arrangements in collaboration with
Mads Langer and Tanja Zapolski.
“What Alfred has composed tonight is world-class. It is simply so unique and so
beautiful.”
— Tanja Zapolski
“With his deep roots in both classical and modern music and a rare ability to
improvise, Alfred stands out as a shining talent in Danish music. And if Piano has
shown anything, it is that he has a truly special feel for music.”
— Fyns Stiftstidende

performing, and presenting his own music for several years, and recorded an EP at
the age of nineteen. His compositions draw from a wide range of musical
sources—you can hear the sentimental tones of Nordic music, lyrical melodies from
the classical world, and the harmonic complexity of jazz.
Following his appearance on TV2’s program Piano, his career has gained strong
momentum, and he has also been featured on the front page of Fyns Stiftstidende.
August Bøegh is an up-and-coming bassist in the Copenhagen jazz scene and has
been touring around Scandinavia in recent years. He is a regular member of
Swedish alto saxophonist Fredrik Kronkvist’s quartet.
He also plays on the albums “To The Bone,” “Rød Sol,” and “Lysning.”
In May, he will record his debut album under his own name, featuring musicians
including Rasmus Sørensen, Mads Oldenskov, and Fabrizio Doberti....
