Bending Backwards is a loud indie band from the Danish underground. For this concert, the band will play their music in a downsized, acoustic format, zooming in on the most intimate aspects of their sound. For your ears only, they will play quietly instead of loud. Both joyful and melancholy, all their songs are filled with memories and warmth. The lyrics revolve around being kids, death, long-distance brotherly love and longing. The band is a bare bones trio formation: the tuneful Scott Walker-esque vocals of Frederik Blæsild Vuust, backed by the loud, downtuned guitars of Halfdan Stefansson and lit up by the drumming of Johannes Jacobsen. Bending Backwards will be releasing their debut album 'still and quiet brother are you still and quiet' on the label Pink Cotton Candy in the Fall of 2026.
