NORDIC VOICES & NEW MUSIC BENEATH THE TREETOPS
Jazz vocalist Cathrine Legardh invites the audience into a Nordic soundscape where nature and the Nordic languages are celebrated and woven together. She is joined by her long‑time collaborators: pianist Jacob Christoffersen, bassist Jesper Thorn, and Alexander Kraglund on violin and harmonica.
The quartet interprets music by prominent Nordic composers such as Olle Adolphson, Evert Taube, Georg Riedel, among others, alongside a selection of Legardh’s own brand‑new songs written outdoors beneath the treetops – where nature and the rhythm of the seasons have shaped both melody and lyric.
Legardh’s expression is warm and present, singing with a deep focus on words and storytelling. The audience is invited into a space of reflection, warmth, and Nordic poetry, where tradition meets renewal.
