LETTER TO GEORG RIEDEL is a tribute concert dedicated to the legendary bassist and composer Georg Riedel. Riedel composed a vast body of vibrant and curious music, including scores for Astrid Lindgren’s classic films and TV series.

For this special concert, Toldam—drawing on the ensemble Tak For Dit Brev—has gathered a group of distinctive musicians, all of whom have worked closely with Georg Riedel.

The concert promises an unpredictable and intimate experience, where Riedel’s melodies are interpreted with equal parts respect and anarchy. From the well-known children’s songs to lesser-known compositions for jazz octet, some of which were performed alongside the equally legendary Swedish pianist Jan Johansson.
